Ingredients

For the crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter melted
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
For the topping
  • cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup toffee bits
  • ¾ cup pecans chopped

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, salt, and melted butter. Add vanilla. Stir until it looks like wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the pan. Make it tight and even.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot crust. Wait 2 minutes until soft, then spread gently.
  6. Sprinkle toffee bits evenly on top. Add chopped pecans.
  7. Bake again for 12–15 minutes, until the topping looks set but not dark.
  8. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Let the bars cool fully before slicing. Warm bars fall apart.
  • Toasting the pecans adds more flavor, but it’s optional.
  • Store at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
  • These freeze well if cut first and wrapped tightly.
