Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • Gummy worms or gummy fish about 1 cup
  • Fruit roll-ups 3–4 rolls
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper
Optional: shredded coconut, sprinkles, melted chocolate

Method

Step 1: Melt the Base
  1. In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely smooth.
Step 2: Mix In Cereal
  1. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies until coated. Work quickly so it doesn’t set.
Step 3: Flatten the Sheet
  1. Place the mixture on parchment paper sprayed with cooking spray. Roll it out with a rolling pin to about ½ inch thick.
Step 4: Add the Candy
  1. Lay gummy worms or gummy fish in a straight row across the sheet.
Step 5: Roll It Up
  1. Carefully roll the sheet over the candy, pressing gently as you go to form a log. Let it sit 5 minutes to firm.
Step 6: Slice Into Sushi
  1. Use a sharp knife (lightly sprayed with cooking spray) to cut the log into bite-sized sushi pieces.
Step 7: Decorate (Optional)
  1. Wrap rolls in fruit roll-ups like “seaweed,” dip ends in chocolate with sprinkles, or dust with coconut.

Notes

  • Work fast when rolling; the marshmallow mixture sets quickly.
  • Lightly grease your hands and knife with cooking spray to avoid sticking.
  • These are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in an airtight container for 1–2 days.
  • Great project to do with kids—just keep little fingers away from the hot marshmallow mixture.
